This six day trek is also known as Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek, which according to locals, there used to be thousand lakes in the area in former time and has about 105 lakes or may be 108, auspicious number in Buddhism. The route was used before building of roads in Bhutan by people of Dagana to bring their cattle to sell in Thimphu.
The trek is one of the most beautiful treks in Bhutan with crystal clear lakes and spectacular views of the Himalayan range including Mt. Everest (8848m), Kanchanjunga, Masang Gang (7158m), Jomolhari (7314m), Jichu Drakey many other virgin mountains of Bhutan.
It might tiring trek but is worth because every day would be offered with tranquility and beautiful landscape. Mid spring or autumn would be best time to go on this trek. This has several entry/exit points; exit in Wangdü Phodrang or further to Dagana.
